If you go to www.rightbrainedmom.com there are a ton of free printables. For this activity I printed off the “Human Facial Features Print-Outs” and “Rock Faces Free Printables”. (Tip: I did print these on a heavy cardstock. When you use rocks the heavier cardstock is harder to work with because it doesn’t bend easily around the corners of the rock. So I would suggest a lighter weight cardstock. It didn’t matter with the small wood cookies purchased from Hobby Lobby because I was putting the cut outs on a smoother surface.

Step 1: Print the free printables.

Step 2: Cut all of the pieces out. There were some printables I chose not to use.

Step 3: Decoupage the pieces onto rocks and/or small wood cookies. (Tip: The wood cookies were much easier to use)

Step 4: Let them dry. (Tip: Be sure to let them dry overnight if not a little longer. You don’t want your pieces to stick together when you store them)

Step 5: Give the kids larger wood cookies (or any type of large circular object) and let them create different faces. These can be used indoors or outdoors. If left outside I would keep them out of the elements.
