Music Wall

For this project I purchased a wooden garden trellis at, you guessed it, Menards. I also purchased metal stakes, nuts and bolts, zip ties and two buckets. The items on the trellis were all from the dollar store.

Step 1: Lay a stake at each end and a stake in the middle. Using a pen, use the holes of the stake as a guide for drilling holes. Drill the holes and then connect the stakes with nuts and bolts.

Step 2: Turn the trellis over.

Step 3: With a large nail, hammer holes in the items for the wall. I chose to use plastic and metal objects for different sounds.

Step 4: Lay out the items on the trellis until you have them placed in their positions.

Step 5: Using a marker, mark where the holes are in the items so you will be able to drill holes in the trellis. Remove the items and drill holes. Using zip ties, connect all the items to the trellis.

Step 6: Making drums. I laid the buckets on their sides and placed the stakes so they would not go above the top of the drum. Use the marker to see where you need to drill the holes.

Step 7: Once the holes are drilled, used nuts and bolts to keep the stakes in place. That’s it.
