Wooden Signs for the Outdoor Play Space

My dad had originally cut these for me to use in the block area outdoors. But they were the perfect size for signs. They are fairly thin and different sizes which I really liked. I used a pencil to write out the letters and then used a wood burning tool to bring out the rustic color.
I purchased a wooden stake to attach to the back of some boards (that I knew I wanted to stick in the ground). I used thick wires to attach to the top of others (that I knew would hang on my chain link fence). For the ones that I used wire on, I drilled two holes in the top. For the ones I used stakes on, I just drill a hole at the top and bottom of each sign and attached the stake with wood screws and nuts.
I just made these in 2017 and had not sealed them. In 2018, I will seal them with a marine varnish before putting them back out. I am doing this because the sun did cause the letters to fade a bit.
